Vortex Volleyball Club Girls Volleyball Program is about elevating athletes to perform to the highest level. While club volleyball is absolutely about winning; it is also about discipline, good sportsmanship, molding youth into successful adults, learning true team spirit and respect - of one's self, teammates, coaches and game staff. Vortex focuses on the experience of growing as a team family into a unit that trusts and loves one another, on and off the court. Vortex works tirelessly to provide a unique experience for parents and athletes; with team and club activities, new training equipment and a constant effort to ensure the best training possible, we provide the best club value in the state of Utah.

Ages 14-18u Travel Team Tryouts
2 Day Tryouts Friday and Saturday (Must attend both days
July 19th @ 6:00 PM-9:00 PM
July 20th @ 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
*PLAYERS AGE is based off of their age on July 1st 2025
DOORS OPEN 1 HOUR BEFORE TRYOUT TIME TO CHECK IN
Cost is $25 if you pre-register online by July 19th or $30 day of or at the door.
*Must register online prior to tryouts. You will be instructed at the door to register before you are allowed to check-in.
What to expect at tryouts…
Upon arrival you will be assigned a tryout number and have your picture taken. We will then measure height, reach, and vertical measurements. Then each athlete will complete a 5-10-5 shuttle.
Athletes will then be run through multiple drills to be evaluated on passing, serving, hitting, blocking skills.
Lastly, athletes will be evaluated during game play. Athletes may be asked to try different positions and/or move to other courts as we assess all aspects of skill and athleticism.
Team assignment and tryout results will be sent via the email address you used to register for tryouts. (Resubscribe Tutorial)
Athletes accept their spot by signing a player contract and paying a deposit by the deadline explained in your offer email. Failure to register and pay your deposit will result in offering your placement to another athlete.
Our daughters love being part of Club Vortex. The coaches are beyond helpful when it comes to individual and team development. What we as parents value more is the coaches dedication to ensuring our daughters are not just successful on the court but off the court as well. Their confidence has grown tremendously in just a few short months which benefits them as teammates, students, and people!!
